Face Painting at Gooseberry Hill PS Fair

Sunday 25 March was the Gooseberry Hill Primary School Fair and GATE students held the Face Painting Stall. We were really busy and made lots of little people into butterflies, dogs and vampires.

Check out that sign! Great effort
 A rare quiet moment
Two little cuties with scary faces
All the students who helped out were ex students of Gooseberry Hill Primary School. Exhausting but loads of fun. Thank you to everyone who helped out especially the Year 9s who made the most amzing cut out sign.

Sculpture by the Sea

Year 10, 11 and 12 GATE Visual Art students visited Sculpture by the Sea at Cottesloe Beach. The students had a guided tour of the artwork and were fortunate to have their tutors on hand to explain the processes involved in public art displays.

A yummy fish and chip lunch was enjoyed, followed by a quick swim before the extra long drive home (sorry everyone).

It was only a little bit windy

There is a student photographic competition for this year's Sculpture by the Sea. For more information click here.

Home Sweet home

During week 5 the lower school GATE students visited the Western Australian Museum and took part in "Home Sweet Home". They purchased either residential or business real estate and then constructed small scale buildings. Students decorated their buildings and created business names. It was lots of fun.
