Autumn in the Hills

The annual Autumn in the Hills Exhibition was held by the Kalamunda Arts and Crafts Group this weekend.
Once again they have generously sponsored a student show and awarded prized in the categories of 2D, 3D and digital media.
Congratulations to everyone who exhibited their work and especially the winners.

Important: Changes to the Term Two Calendar

The last workshop in term two will be on Saturday 23 June (not 30 June as previously published)

This is will be my last Saturday as the GATE art coordinator. I've had a wonderful time over the last ten years working with Gifted and Talented students and tutors. I was a tutor for the first five years before becoming the coordinator. I'm looking forward to spending Saturdays with my family and getting back into classroom teaching.

Mr Eden and I will be on leave during term 3 but we hope to make it to the annual exhibition. Best wishes and thank you for all your support.

Term Two

Term Two is usually our most productive period of art making as everyone gets ready for the mid year exhibitions. It is only our first Saturday back and we are already busy creating artwork.

This term we have Leanne and Becky working with GATE art students and some primary aged students on a public artwork for the New Children's Hospital.

Face Painting at Gooseberry Hill PS Fair

Sunday 25 March was the Gooseberry Hill Primary School Fair and GATE students held the Face Painting Stall. We were really busy and made lots of little people into butterflies, dogs and vampires.
